2/11: Ryan Buchanan - St John Vianney
In a back and forth bout that was tied late in the 2nd period, Buchanan took his opponent down to his back and scored a huge pin in a key matchup in the Lancers win over Camden Catholic in the Non-Public Group B Finals for the program's 2nd Group Title

2/9: William Huchko - Jackson Liberty
Huchko recorded the walk-off pin, via a spladle, as the Lions won the last four bouts to rally for their first win in program history over Jackson Memorial, 40-35.

2/8: Killian Coluccio - CBA
In a matchup between the two top-ranked 106 pounders in the state, #2 Coluccio defeated #1 Cameron Sontz, 8-5, in the Colts' Group Semifinal loss Delbarton.

2/7: Anthony Mason - Southern
Mason tech falled State qualifier Jason Meola of Kingsway, one of eight bonus point victories for Southern, as the Rams routed Kingsway (50-12) to win the SJG5 State Sectional Championship. It is the Rams' 17th Sectional Title, and a Shore Conference record 6th consecutive.

2/6: Will Sakoutis - CBA
Sakoutis had a big win for the Colts in their 34-29 victory over Don Bosco Prep, defeating 2-time State qualifier Santino Danise, 2-1, to help push the Colts into the Non-Public Semifinals on Thursday night.

2/5: Tanner Hynes - Pt Boro
Hynes recorded two huge pins in the Panthers' Sectional wins on Monday night. In the quarters, he bumped up to 215 and scored a fall that started a run of four straight wins to close the dual as the Panthers rallied to beat Holmdel, 38-29. In the semis, Haynes trailed 4-0 in the 2nd period before scoring a reversal and recording a fall with under 1 second left for a key victory in Boro's 37-31 win over the 2nd-seeded Raritan.

2/2: Jay Seda - Jackson Memorial
In a matchup between previous State-qualifiers, Seda decisioned Northern Burlington's Galiano Zeppadoro, 8-3, in the Jags' 46-24 win over the Greyhounds.

2/1: Mike Seeley - Lacey
In a heavyweight bout, Seeley decisioned 10th-ranked David Dominguez, 9-4, as the Lions defeated Lakewood on Thursday night.

1/31: Tucker Pazinko - Jackson Liberty
Lots of candidates to choose from in Liberty's B-South title-clinching win over Pt Boro, 31-30 on criteria J, but we go with the key win at 126, where #3 Pazinko avenged a major decision loss in the Shore Conference Tournament to Boro's #2 Frankie Burgio, by recording a clutch 3-2 decision which was a huge moment in the Lions' win.

1/29: Shawn Retta - Keansburg
Retta picked up a big win in the Titans' dual against Holmdel, defeating #5 AJ Todisco, 5-2, in the 165-pound bout.

1/27: Luken Ramos - RBC
Lots of standout performances for the Caseys in one of the program's biggest wins, but we'll go with the wrestler on the mat for the clincher, Luken Ramos, whose 9-6 decision in the final bout sealed the deal for the Caseys.

1/26: Braden Pratt - Pt Boro
We'll give it to one of the Panthers for their win over rival Pt Beach, and we'll go with junior Braden Pratt, who handed Beach's Antonio Acevedo just his 3rd loss of the season with a 7-5 decision in the 150-pound bout.

1/25: Trey Tallmadge - Brick Memorial
While Ocean took most of the toss-ups, the one they didn't get turned out to be the difference maker as #5 Tallmadge decisioned #6 Michael Poniros, 4-1, in a key bout at 175 to help the #5 Stangs defeat #10 Ocean, 29-27.

1/24: Noah Michaels - RBC
Michaels defeated St. Peter's Prep's Jake Talarico, 8th-place at last year's State Tournament, 4-2 in sudden victory in RBC's dual against state power SPP.

1/24: Matt Gould - St John Vianney
In the marquee bout of the evening at 113, #2 Gould scored a late takedown against #6 Eamon Fry, to pick up a 3-1 decision victory, and help lead the Lancers to a 44-26 win over Rumson, and to the A-Central championship.

1/22: Dylan Trinidad - Lacey
Trailing 5-4 late in the 3rd period, Trinidad scored a takedown with 1 second remaining to pull off the 6-5 win and clinch the Lions 36-30 win over #11 Jackson Memorial.

1/17: Matt Smith - Rumson
The junior, ranked #5 at heavyweight, used a pair of takedowns to top the #1 ranked heavyweight in the Shore, Lorenzo Portella, a state medal winner in 2022, 5-4 in the Bulldogs win over RBC on Wednesday night.

1/16: Joseph Wainen - Pinelands
The junior had two 1st-period pins to help lead the Wildcats to a tri-sweep over Neptune & Shore Regional.

1/14: Killian Coluccio - CBA
107-pound Escape The Rock Champion

1/13: Zach Reilley - Raritan  /  Hudson Skove - Rumson  /  Matt Henrich - Southern
Congratulations to all three wrestlers on joining the 100 CAREER WINS CLUB.

1/12: Luke Miller - Lacey
Down 7-0 in the 3rd period to Boro's Mike DeAngelo, who had defeated him at the TCNJ Pride Tournament, Miller put DeAngelo to his back and recorded the pin in a huge swing for the Lions as they topped the Panthers, 36-35.

1/11: Terrence Thomas - TR East
The junior 190-pounder picked up a big win for himself on Thursday night, defeating #7 Bradford Birch of Southern, 8-6, in the Raiders' dual against the Rams.

1/9: AJ Falcone - CBA
There were a few more than worthy nominees for the Colts in their 30-28 win over Southern, but taking the result in last year's dual into account, Falcone is a more than worthy. Ranked #2 in the individual Top 10, Falcone recorded a key 1-0 decision over #1 Bryce Manera, to help CBA hand the Rams their first dual loss to a Shore Conference team since January of 2020. #redemption

1/8: Thomas Schulter - Pt Beach
Schulter's pin in the final bout was the deal sealer for Beach as the Gulls topped Manchester, 41-32.

1/6: Sonny Amato - Rumson
Freshman defeated returning State medalist Zach Reilley of Raritan to win the 144-pound weight class at the Shore Conference Tournament.

1/4: Cash McVey - Southern
Freshman defeated returning State Qualifier Joseph Weikel, 8-7, in the Rams win over Jackson Memorial

1/3: Conor Delaney - Rumson
In a matchup between a pair of State qualifiers, Delaney triumphed 8-5 over Holmdel's Alex Reyes in the Bulldogs' A-Central win over Holmdel. The two could meet again this weekend in the Shore Conference Tournament, with Reyes seeded #1 and Delaney seeded #2.

12/28: Hudson Skove - Rumson
215-pound Sam Cali Tournament Champion

12/27: Kurt Wehner - Donovan Catholic
Won the 120-pound championship at the Mustang Classic, defeating #1 seed Tyler Hagenson (4th in the State in 2022) in the finals, 4-2.

12/23: Jake Clayton - Pt Boro
The freshman came out of the #8 seed to win four bouts, including wins over the #1 & #2 seeds, to win the 157-pound title at the TCNJ Pride Tournament.

12/22: Jay Seda - Jackson Memorial
In a matchup between a pair of State Qualifiers, Seda decisioned Pt Boro's Frankie Burgio, 5-4, in what was a crucial win in the Jags' 32-28 victory over the Panthers.

12/21: Shawn Retta - Keansburg
The sophomore moved to 6-0 with a pin that officially clinched the dual for the Titans as they defeated Shore Regional for the first time since 2012.

12/20: Matt Liggio - Colts Neck
With only 3 bouts remaining, the senior heavyweight won a tossup matchup at heavyweight, 3-2 over Ocean's Abi Andre, that turned out to be the difference maker in the Cougars' 39-34 victory over the Spartans in what was a key dual in the race for the B-North crown.

12/19: Jose Vidal - Lakewood
Vidal's pin with 2 bouts remaining was the deal sealer, as it put the Piners up by 9 with one bout to go as they picked up their first dual win of the season in a 42-36 win over Neptune.

12/17: Harvey Ludington - Brick Memorial
Recorded three majors and two pins, including one in the finals, to bonus his way to the 2023 190-pound Beast of the East Title.

12/16: Ryan Dubnik - Freehold Twp
After missing almost all of last season with an injury, Dubnik was back on the mats this weekend and won the 132-pound weight class at the Ron Mazzola Memorial, highlighted with a win in the finals over 2-time State Qualifier, Lawrence Liss of Matawan.

12/15: Jamie Gutridge - RBC
The junior's first varsity win was a key pin late in the dual to help lead RBC to a 34-27 over Raritan.

12/14: Paul Kenny - CBA
In his high school debut, the highly-regarded freshman lived up to the hype as he pinned 2-time State Qualifier, and 2023 Region 5 Champion, Brady Klinsky in the Colts 68-12 win over Middletown North.
