The defending Group 5 Champion and the state's top-ranked public school once again features a loaded lineup, and as a result, the Rams will be looking to match all of their team accomplishments from their 2023 season. Five starters were lost to graduation, but the Rams will look to their depth chart from last season's team, some very talented freshmen, and a couple of transfers, to reload the chamber.

Starting down low, a pair of State Qualifiers are back in sophomore Anthony Mason and junior Scottie Sari. Mason comes off an outstanding freshman season that saw him rack up 34 wins on his way to a District and Region Championship. Sari, who has 57 wins in his first two season, won his 2nd District medal in 2023, and advanced to Atlantic City after taking 3rd at Regions. Also returning for the Rams are junior Sam Pari, a District medal winner in 2022, and sophomore Attila Vigilante, who also had a solid rookie campaign, recording 23 wins, and placing 2nd at Districts and 6th at Regions. As per the norm, the Rams have incoming freshmen that will come into the lineup and make an impact. One of those freshman down in the lowerweights could be Cash McVey, who was a 3rd place finisher in the Intermediate State Tournament in 2022.

In the middle stretch from 138-157, the Rams can hit you with four wrestlers who have all wrestled in Atlantic City in March. Leading the way is returning State Champion, Matt Henrich. Henrich, a 3-time State Tournament participant who also placed 7th in 2022, enters the season with 83 career wins. He will be continuing his career next season at Virginia Tech. Junior Wyatt Stout also reached the podium at Boardwalk Hall last season, placing 6th at 132. A 2-time District and Region Champion, Stout has registered 66 wins through his first two seasons. Joining Henrich and Stout are a pair of transfers in Bryce Manera and Noah Fontana. Manera, a junior, previous wrestled at Holy Spirit where he was a State Qualifier his freshman season. Fontana arrives from Mainland, where he was a 2-time District medalist and advanced to AC after finishing 4th in the Region 8 Tournament at 126. Also joining this group is senior Tyler Chase, who missed almost all of the 2023 season after going 18-7 in 2022.

There are three more State Tournament participants returning in the upper portion of the lineup. Junior Hayden Hochstrasser, a 2-time District Champ with 56 career wins, made his 2nd trip to States last season, this time bringing home a medal as he finished in 8th place at 144. Seniors Mitch Bivona and also Collin French also made the trip down to AC after each winning a Region 7 Title. Senior Bradford Birch and junior Sean Dupnak provide further veteran depth in this group that should also feature freshman Levi Foote, the Intermediate State Champ at 175 last year.

The Rams are stacked and look primed for another huge season. Among the highlights of this year's schedule include a trip to Lincroft to visit CBA in what will be a highly anticipated rematch of their absolute classic last season in which the Rams won 27-25, a tri featuring Group 2 Champion High Point and NJ1G4 Sectional Champion Mt Olive, a home match against powerful non-public Delbarton, and road trips to CJG3 Champ South Plainfield and Phillipsburg, which is a rematch of last year's Group 5 Final won by the Rams, 41-14. There's the A-South divisional slate, as well, and the Rams get heavy into that pretty early as they host Brick Memorial on December 20th.
