2024 Record: 14-2 (District 27 & A-North Champions)
The Colts return a strong cast from last year's team that finished as the #1 team in the Shore Conference, and have some key newcomers joining the mix, as they look to repeat as the Shore Conference's top team.
Sophomore Paul Kenny leads the charge down low, coming off a monster freshman season in which he won 35 bouts on his way to a District and Region Title before finishing 3rd at 113 in Atlantic City. Fellow sophomore looks to step in and have a big year after getting 14 bouts in the lineup at 106 as a freshman. Another sophomore, Teag Saito, had his debut season cut short following an injury in late December. There's a strong crop of freshmen ready to step into the lineup and make an immediate impact. Among them is Sean Kenny, the Intermediate School State Champion at 105 last year, who comes in with a bundle of hardware from competing at the national tournaments.
It could be a junior dominated middle with Bobby Duffy, Will Sakoutis, Randall Jenks, Jimmy Jakub, and Brendan Boyer. Duffy has racked up 63 wins through his first two seasons, and despite the Colts tough schedule, has a shot at hitting 100 before his senior season. Duffy is a 2-time State qualifier, winning a Region Title as a freshman and placing 2nd last season, and a 2-time District Champ. Both Sakoutis and Boyer were District Champs last season, with Boyer advancing to Atlantic City after finishing 4th at Regions. Jenks also punched a ticket to AC after placing 3rd at Regions.
Senior AJ Falcone starts the run up top. The Scared Heart commit is a 2-time State qualifier, a 2-time District Champ, and a Region 6 Champ in 2023. Brock Oizerowitz is coming off a big freshman season where he was a Region & District Champ and went on to Atlantic City where he reached the Boardwalk Hall podium after taking 8th at 175. The upperweights also get a boost with the arrival of junior Tyler Palumbo, who spent his first two seasons at Red Bank Regional where he was a State qualifier last season.
