Good things are happening in the Central Regional wrestling room. The Golden Eagles are coming off a positive 2024–2025 season and return a strong mix of experienced varsity wrestlers and motivated underclassmen. The coaching staff plans to continue building momentum by developing the program’s depth, welcoming back former middle school wrestlers who are re-committing to the sport, and pushing the team forward with a competitive, hard-nosed mindset. Central was also fortunate to bring in several talented freshmen at key weights, helping to round out the lineup while strengthening the program’s foundation for the future.

Central returns several wrestlers who made their mark in the postseason last year, led by senior Joseph Dunne, who captured a District Championship, placed fourth at Regions, and earned a berth in the NJSIAA State Tournament. Junior Christian Ardiles also had an outstanding postseason run, finishing second at Districts and recording a win at Regions, establishing himself as a consistent threat in the lineup.

Additional postseason experience returns in senior Mason Lugo and sophomore Luke Condello, both of whom placed third at Districts and qualified for Regions, gaining valuable high-pressure match experience. Their continued development adds depth and leadership across the lighter weights.

With proven postseason performers back in the room, a solid senior core, and an influx of hungry juniors, sophomores, and freshmen, Central Regional is positioned to take another step forward this season as the Golden Eagles look to turn experience into wins when it matters most.
