Former Jag Josh Baker, of "THE PIN" fame, takes over as head coach for his alma mater. Baker inherits a Jackson Memorial team that will be undergoing a bit of a rebuild as just six starters from last year's team return.

The Jags have a trio of seniors returning up top in Ryan Wolf, Jessup Adams, and Joseph Piazza. Wolf is coming off a 30-win season in which he won the District 23 Championship and went on to advance to Atlantic City after he placed 4th at the Region 6 Tournament. Adams came from the #5 seed to win the 190-pound title at the Districts last year. Piazza split time at 215/Hwt in his first season as a starter last year, and could likely resume that role at 215/Hwt during the regular season as needed for matchups.

Returning starters Rocco Gaudious and Chris Collins provide a veteran presence in the middleweights. Collins is coming off a 2024 season in which he was a runner-up at Districts, and was one win away from States after finishing 5th at the Regions.

There are a lot of underclassmen battling for the chance to step into the lineup down low, with junior Ahmed Raheel being the lone starter in this group.

2025 will be a different look for the Jags. They will rely heavily on their seniors to provide leadership in the lineup and in the wrestling room to help a young group that is working hard to step into the lineup and help continue the program's winning ways. It's a similar situation to teams in their division like Raritan and Long Branch, once Shore Conference powers that were contending for Group Titles, but are now undergoing a bit of a retooling.
