2025 Manasquan Warriors

Head Coach: Justin Barowski (5th Season / Career: 50-34)
Assistants: Steve Tracey / Austin Clarke
Volunteers: Ethan Dzenis / Andy Knerr / Darrell Falkinburg / Pat Sandberg / Sean Cunningham / Xan Dingwall
2024 Record: 13-10

After 14 consecutive losing seasons, the Warriors have been .500 or better in each of 5th-year head coach Justin Barowski's tenure. With 9 regulars back from last year's 13-win team, Manasquan will look to continue their rise.

The strength of this year's lineup looks like it could be in the stretch from 138-165. Michael O'Connor leads the charge here. The senior ended a 20-year drought for the Manasquan program last season, when he became their first District Champions since Todd Rinaldo won back in 2004. O'Connor, who advanced to States last year after placing 3rd at Regions, enters the 2025 campaign as the school's all-time wins leader, and needs just 10 more wins to reach the century mark for his career.

He is joined in the middle of the lineup by fellow seniors Charlie Hunt, a District runner-up last season, and Connor Brewer, who is entering his 3rd season in the starting lineup, and Greg Herrera and Dan Riccione, who give this stretch of the lineup some senior depth and maneuverability. Two other starters return in this run as well with junior Nico Princiotta, a 19-bout winner who placed 4th at Districts, and Torrin Tracey, who won 12 bouts as a freshman last season.

Down low, Shane Kerstetter is coming off a 24-win freshman season, the 2nd most wins ever for a Manasquan freshman, and finished 3rd at the Districts. After getting some good experience in the lineup last year, sophomore Shea Tracey will be looking to step up with a larger role in the lineup this season. Juniors Donovan Havard and Logan Milancewich will look to provide some upperclassmen leadership as several freshmen look to break into the lower part of the lineup. Among them is JP Sanders, a JSJWL Champ and an Intermediate States qualifier, and Shane DePinto, a runner-up in the JSJWL Tournament last year.

Manasquan has not won a division title since 1980. They will no doubt have an opportunity to end that drought as part of the new E-Division with Middletown South, TR East, Central, and Red Bank. The program has done a terrific job rising from some pretty rough years, and a division title would provide further evidence that this is a program on the rise, as the high school team continues to win, while the feeder system continues to strengthen as well. They key will be the production they get from the top of the lineup, as they must replace all of last year's starters from 175-up. The good news there is that the Warriors do not face a divisional foe until the 2nd week of January, which will allow them some time to get the newcomers up top some time to get adjusted to the varsity lineup.
