2025 New Egypt Warriors

Head Coach: Kevin English
Assistants: Kyle Rembach / Matt Csik / Joe Brown / Dan Murray / Sean McCarthy
2024 Record: 7-18

New Egypt, a Group 1 school from Plumsted Twp, joins the Shore Conference after previously having competed in the Burlington County Scholastic League, where head coach Kevin English guided them to multiple BCSL Freedom Division titles. The Warriors will begin their first season in the Shore Conference in the H-Division, where they will compete with Asbury Park, Lakewood, Keyport, Neptune, Monmouth Regional, and Pinelands.

Most of the Warriors' lineup returns, including their top five wins leaders. Senior Fred Fappier led the team in wins last season with 24. A 4-year starter, Frappier finished 4th at Districts his sophomore year. He's part of a trio of returning double digit winners in the lower half of the lineup along with junior Gavin Stone, who won 20 bouts last season, and sophomore Wyatt Burgess, a 14-match winner in his freshman season.

Senior Alan Arce was the lone Warrior to finish in the top 4 at Districts last season, and is part of a pretty experienced group in the upper half of the lineup that includes fellow senior Morgan Peterson. Peterson missed most of his junior year, going 9-1, after putting up 33 wins as a sophomore and finishing 2nd at Districts, and gives the Warriors a big gun in the top of their lineup. Also back up top for the Warriors are sophomores Nick Johnson, Gabe Stevens, and Sebastian Quintero, who are looking to use the experience they gained last year as freshmen wrestling in the upperweights, to take the next step forward in 2025.
