Led by a strong group of upperclassmen combined with a talented young group coming into the program, the Panthers have a deep, balanced lineup that has them looking towards a big season in 2026.
The big name in the lineup is junior Jake Clayton. Clayton, a standout quarterback for the Panthers' football team, is a 2-time District Champ, a 2-time Region runner-up, and a 2-time State medalist who has racked up 82 wins through his first two seasons. He's part of a veteran group of upperweights that includes fellow junior Aiden Willson, and seniors Dylan Jankowski, James Bradley, and Jack Scalabrini, who was a District runner-up last season. They provide a solid veteran core as the Panthers break in new heavyweight Nico Cangiano, a freshman who was an undefeated Tri-County Champ at the middle school level last year.
There's some strong senior leadership down low as well in Chase Eckert, West Matta, a District runner-up last year, and Michael DeAngelo, who was a District Champ last season. There's some great young talent around them, led by sophomore Jaxin Corino, who is coming off a 29-win rookie year in which he won a District title, as well as freshmen Greg Parani and Shane Rockovitz.
The Panthers have more members of their senior class in the middle of the lineup with District runner-up Luke Renna, Jack Watson, and Jack Barger among them.
This looks like it is going to be a very balanced lineup. There is a tremendous leadership group that has been involved in a lot of big matches that will have this team plenty battle-tested as they do battle in the dual season. With the move down to the C-Division, it brings back the divisional rivalry dual with Lacey, which has produced some classic duals over the years. They'll meet up on January 7th. All in all, this looks to be a very solid team for Boro, and one that should make a lot of noise not just in the dual season, but in the individual postseason as well.
