2025 Red Bank Regional
Head Coach: Dan DosSantos Silva
Assistants: Mario Fragale / Hunter Marhan / Rey Guzman Jr
2024 Record: 9-8
Long Branch alum Dan DosSantos Silva, previously an assistant for Red Bank, takes over as head coach and inherits a young Bucs team with just a handful of seniors in the room.
One of those seniors is Kevin Ruland. A State medal winner in 2024, he placed 8th, Ruland enters the season with 98 career victories, and is 10 wins away from breaking the school record career wins. Along with junior John Galligan, who enters his third season in the starting lineup, and senior Lucian Sessa, the trio can provide some veteran leadership to what looks to be an otherwise all-underclass group in the lower half of the lineup.
Among the young guys coming in looking to make an impact are freshmen Luke Sena, whose brother Dom graduated this past June after a solid 4-year run as a starter with the Bucs, Colton Hughes, and Thomas Kilduff, who enter the program after successful runs at the feeder level.
There's a little more experience in the upper half of the lineup, led by junior Jason Huss. Huss, a District runner-up in 2024, and placed 5th at the Shore Conference Tournament. He's joined by fellow junior and returning starter Carter Diaz, and the 1-2 combo at 215/Hwt of senior Jahcere Yarbrough and junior Keegan Farry as the most experienced of what will be a group that will be breaking in several new faces.
This will be one of the younger teams in the Shore Conference this season with a lot of new names entering the lineup, so there will be a heavy emphasis on improving with every outing as the team looks to build a foundation for a winning future, while remaining competitive this season. It's a similar situation to the rest of the division with TR East, Central, Middletown South, and Manasquan, who RBR looks to compete with for a shot at the division title.
