SHORE CONFERENCE TEAMS
Barnegat: 5 Champions - Last (2020) / 0 Team Titles
The Bengals have had multiple medal winners for the last 3 seasons, and 5 out of the last 6. They will have a pair of 3-seeds to lead the charge this year along with a trio of 4's.
Nicholas Speer (126) and Jayden Nieto (157) received #3's for the Bengals. Nieto is the Bengals lone returning medal winner, having placed 3rd last season. Speer was a 4th-place finisher in 2024.
Gerald Miller (175), Charles Black (215), and Dylan Hickey (144) who were the Bengals top three wins leaders during the regular season, received the 4-seeds.

Central: 60 Champions - Streak (1 Season) / 2 Team Titles (1994)
2-time medalist Christian Ardiles received a #1 seed for the Eagles. The junior was tied for 2nd on the team in wins during the regular season with Joseph Dunne.
Dunne, a returning champion, advanced to AC last season after placing 4th at Regions. Like Ardiles, Dunne will be trying to bring home his third District medal. He is seeded 2nd at 165.
Also seeded 2nd is Mason Lugo (126), who will attempt to become Central's first 4-time medal winner since Jalen Ramos (2009-2012)
Alexander Setaro (175) led the Golden Eagles in wins during the regular season with 29. Setaro, along with heavyweight Mason Medina, was seeded 3rd.

Lacey: 51 Champions - Streak (2 Seasons) / 2 Teams Titles (2025)
The Lions had a program record 10 medal winners last season, on their way to defeating Southern Regional for the D26 team title last season.
Four Lions received top seeds: Killian Colucco (113), Aidan Flynn (126), Michael Colon (175), and Jake Mott (190).
Coluccio, a junior, is a 2-time champion. He has also won a pair of Region titles and placed 3rd at States as a freshman, and 2nd last season. He enters the weekend with 97 career wins.
Flynn is also a 2-time champion, and he has three medals total. He has advanced to Boardwalk Hall in each of the last two years.
Colon also punched a ticket to the boardwalk last year. He placed 4th at Regions after capturing his first District title.
Mott has medaled in each of his first two Districts, finishing 3rd as a freshman and 2nd as a sophomore. He was 6th at Regions last year.

Manchester: 38 Champions - Last (2022) / 1 Team Title (2010)
The Hawks have had multiple medal winners for 6 straight seasons, and at least one medal winner for 7 straight. For those streaks to continue, they're going to need to break some seeds.
Miguel Espinal, who led the team in wins during the regular season with 20, is the Hawks' highest seeded wrestler, getting the #4 at heavyweight.

TR East: 82 Champions - Streak (2 Seasons) / 8 Team Titles (2001)
After winning their first Sectional Title in program history, the Raiders will aim for their first team title since the Devin Mesanko led 2001 squad.
East is tied with TR South for the 2nd most top seeds with 3, trailing only Lacey's 4.
Ricky DeLorenzo (#1 at 132) won his first title last season. He took 3rd at Regions and then found his way up the Boardwalk Hall podium with a 4th place finish.
Jayce Cappello (#1 at 138) was a runner-up at Districts last season. He also finished 3rd at Regions to qualify for States.
Carson Taylor (#1 at 106) is part of a talented crop of freshman for the Raiders this season. It also includes Julius Feliciano (#2 at 113) and Tristan Lenaghan (#2 at 120)
Kyle Ho (#2 at 215), Kevin Sickler (#3 at 144), Damian Vonderlinden (#3 at 150), and Christian Lynch (#3 at 190), give the Raiders 9 wrestlers in "money seeds" as they look to extend their streak to 7 seasons with at least 4 medal winners.

TR North: 75 Champions - Last (2023) / 2 Team Titles (2018)
North had a lengthy streak of seasons with multiple medalists halted last season, with just James Mauti, who broke seed to do it, placing 3rd to give them at least one medal winner.
Mauti, who broke the school record for pins in a season, is 1 of 3 #2 seeds for the Mariners headed into this year's tournament.
Mauti (#2 at 190) is joined by Justin Cauldwell (#2 at 144) and John Yannariello (#2 at 157).
Cauldwell placed 3rd at Districts in 2024, while Yannariello was a 4th place finisher last season.
Dominic Capra, who was 3rd on the team with 30 wins, 1 behind Cauldwell and Mauti, was seeded 3rd at 165.

TR South: 134 Champions - Streak (1 Season) / 5 Team Titles (1979)
South's 134 Champions is the 8th most in the Shore Conference, and 4th most in Ocean County.
South is tied with TR East for the 2nd most top seeds with 3, trailing only Lacey.
Brett Rankin (#1 at 215) will try and make it back-to-back District titles. He punched a ticket to AC last year after placing 3rd at Regions.
Owen Beneciuk (#1 at 150) enters the weekend with 112 career wins, the 8th most in program history. He was 2nd at Districts in 2024, and 3rd last year.
Sophomore Jake Gallagher (#1 at 165) is the Indians' 3rd top seed. Gallagher had a pair of wins over Central's returning State qualifier Joseph Dunne, that pushed Gallagher into the top spot.
Vincent Pedalino, who placed 3rd last year, is a 3-seed at 113.

Could be another very good race here that looks like Lacey and TR East are the front runners, while TR South, Seneca, and Central will put up some decent points as well.
