2/20: Brewer Cosgrove (Brick Memorial)
With the Stangs in a 14-0 hole to start the dual, Cosgrove, who was trailing 3-1, recorded a late 3rd-period takedown to pick up a 4-3 win in a key swing bout that sent the Stangs rolling as they would go on to win the next 4 matches and 7 of the next to 8, as they stampeded West Essex, 43-22, to advance to the Group 3 Finals.


2/19: Sean Kenny (CBA)
The sophomore, who has missed the entire season with an arm injury, returned for what is quite possibly a "one night only" appearance. With his team needing him, the Iowa-commit, who will have surgery next month and will not be participating in the individual postseason, took the mat at 120 in the final bout of the evening and won his bout by major decision, giving CBA a 32-23 win over St Peter's Prep and sending the Colts to the Non-Public A Finals on Sunday at Rutgers.


2/18: Christopher Delaplain (Brick Memorial)
You walk-off a Sectional Title, you get the WOTD... especially when you're a freshman. Delaplain's 1st-period fall in the final bout was the deal-sealer for Brick Memorial, as they defeated Robbinsville, 41-30, to claim their Shore Conference best 20th State Sectional Title.


2/16: Levi Foote (Southern)
One of the marquee bouts from Monday night's SJG5 semifinal saw Foote matchup against Howell's Tim O'Rourke in matchup between returning State qualifiers. Foote's 7-2 decision was a key win for the Rams on their way to knocking off the top-seeded Rebels, on the road, 33-26, to advance to their 8th consecutive Sectional Final.


2/13: Hayden Woolley (RBC)
Woolley's 4-3 decision at 215, sealed the deal for RBC, as it was the clincher in the Caseys' 32-30 win over Don Bosco, who was ranked #16 in the state.


2/11: Artur Avanesyan (Marlboro)
In a dual meet between two division championship teams, Avanesyan's tech fall in the final bout gave the F-Division Tri-Champion Mustangs a 38-31 come from behind win over G-Division Champion Pinelands.


2/7: Jonas Lusker (Southern)
In the final bout of the afternoon, a takedown in the final seconds clinched a 5-1 decision victory for the freshman over Delsea's senior Adam Froehlich, giving the Rams a 37-31 win over the Crusaders in a dual between the state's top two ranked public schools.


2/6: Christian Reyes (Holmdel)
Reyes needed all of a 9 seconds to walk it off for the Hornets, as his pin capped a Holmdel comeback win over Central, 37-33.


2/5: James Jakub (CBA)
In a matchup between two state-ranked wrestlers, Jakub gave up a takedown in the opening moments of his bout against St. Peter's Anthony Borrometi, but then turned on the gas and scored 12 of the final 13 points in the bout to turn a toss-up bout into a firm "W" as Jakub majored Borrometi, 12-4, as the #2 in New Jersey Colts defeated #3 St Peter's Prep, 34-29.


2/4: John Tarantino (RBC)
In a meeting of two of the Shore's top 106-pounders, #3 Tarantino's 10-4 decision over #10 Greg Parani clinched the Casey's dual meet win over Pt Boro, and gave RBC their first division title in program history.


2/3: Abnel Roman Del-Rio (Manasquan)
The senior's pin with 2 bouts to go was a deal sealer, giving the Warriors an insurmountable lead as they defeated Central to capture the first division title for Manasquan since 1980.


1/31: Justin Jani (Howell)
Jani walked it off for Howell with a pin at 40-seconds which capped a late bout Rebel comeback win over Pascack Valley, 39-33


1/30: Brian Garcia (RBC)
Garcia recorded a 4-0 decision victory over returning State-qualifier Michael Colon, in a standout result from the 6th-ranked Caseys' 46-15 win over #10 Lacey that puts RBC on the inside track to their first ever divisional title.


1/29: Zahyr Evans (Marlboro)
Evans' pin at 5:37 in the final bout of the night provided a walk-off victory for the Mustangs over Perth Amboy.


1/28: Julian Fortunato (Colts Neck)
After a wild 3rd period that saw Fortunato fight off his back and fend off a late takedown attempt, the junior used a whizzer to counter another near takedown in sudden victory and turned it into a takedown of his own to provide the Cougars with an enormous win in their 33-32 win over #7 Middletown South, and puts them in line for the D-Division Title.


1/24: Mohammad Targali (Matawan)
Targali had 2 pins, a tech, and 12-6 decision in the finals to become the first wrestler from Matawan to win a Shore Conference Tournament individual title.


1/23: Shawn Retta (Keansburg)
Retta recorded career win #100 in his opening round win at the Shore Conference Tournament, which also ties the program record for career wins.

1/21: Killian Coluccio (Lacey)
Coluccio walked it off for the Lions with a pin at 1:13 to give 10th-ranked Lacey a 35-28 win over Raritan, and keep the Lions unbeaten in the C-Division.


1/19: Jill Falzon (Raritan)
Seeded 4th, Falzon pinned her way through the entire bracket with falls at 0:21, 0:50, 0:46, and 1:01, to win the 138-pound title at the Shore Conference Tournament.


1/17: Paul Kenny (CBA)
127-pound champion at the Escape The Rock Tournament


1/16: Shane Kerstetter (Manasquan)
Kerstetter's decision in the final bout pulled the Warriors even in the team score, and ultimately gave them the win, as they defeated rival Pt Boro on criteria (8 bouts won), 34-33.


1/14: Logan Schlenk (Jackson Twp)
Schlenk fought off his back in the 1st period of his 215-pound bout and found himself in an early 7-0 hole, but the junior rallied and scored an enormous pin in the 2nd-period to set up the walk-off heroics by heavyweight Andrew Chitacapa to give the #5 Jags a 33-32 win over #8 Middletown North, and their second walk-off win in as many nights.


1/13: Noah Kovacs (Jackson Twp)
Kovacs walked it off for the Jags with a 2nd-period pin in the the final bout to lift #5 Jackson to a thrilling 37-30 win over #7 Middletown South.
 

1/12: Cole Torres (Shore Regional)
The 2-time District medalist, and 2025 D23 Champ, returned to the mat last night with a 1st period pin for the Blue Devils in his season debut.


1/10: Colton Quinn (CBA)
165-pound Champion at the East Coast Catholic Classic


1/9: Cade Collins (Southern)
In a matchup between two of the top 120-pounders in the state, Collins, ranked #2 in the Shore, defeated Rumson's Eamon Fry, ranked #3, 2-1 in the tone-setting opening bout of the 2nd-ranked Rams 42-25 dual win over #4 Rumson.


1/8: Gage Boyle (Pt Beach)
The sophomore walked it off for Beach with a 3rd-period pin to lead the Gulls to a 36-32 win over Keansburg.


1/7: Shane DePinto (Manasquan)
In an action heavy, high-energy bout with the dual on the line, DePinto outlasted Manalapan's Chase Zardavets, 15-14, in the final bout to give the Warriors a 32-27 win over the Braves in a big E-Division matchup.


1/6: Joseph Totten (TR East)
Totten's lat drop pin with one bout to go sealed the deal for the Raiders as they defeated Holmdel 39-33.


1/5: Tanner Hodgins (Howell)
Giving up over 50 pounds, Hodgins bumped up from 190 to heavyweight and pinned Phillipsburg's Ben Ellis, a District champ last season, to help the Rebels roll to a 46-29 victory over the Stateliners on Monday night in "The Pit."


1/3: Santino Edgar (CBA)
The freshman had a big weekend for the Colts at the Catholic School Duals, going 4-0, highlighted by wins over the #10 and #3 (a major decision) ranked wrestlers in the state at 106.


12/30: Paul Kenny (CBA)
127-pound Champion at the Powerade Tournament

12/29: Adrian Lopez-Roldan (Freehold Boro)
The junior went 3-0 for the Colonials at the Duals For Danny event with two first-period pins and a 10-0 major decision.


12/28: Ricky DeLorenzo (TR East)
Second nod of the season for DeLorenzo who avenged a loss at last week's Beast of the East by defeating 2-time State medalist Dalton Weber of Pope John to capture the 132-pound title at the Sam Cali Memorial Tournament.

Honorable Mention to Middletown North's Ryan Blewett, who bonused his way from the #5 seed to the 113-pound title at the Mustang Classic. Among Blewett's wins was a semifinal pin over Washington Twp's Dylan Hetzel, a 2-time State qualifier.


12/27: Nick Banos (Southern)
3rd-seeded Banos bonused his way through the 113-pound bracket at the Hunterdon Central Invitational, with a 7 second pin in his opening bout, a tech fall over 2025 District 11 Champ #2 Lucas Villanueva of Governor Livingston in the semis, and a pin over top-seeded Chase Dubuque of Delran, a 2-time District medalist, in the finals.


12/23: Jose Rodriguez (Raritan)
Rodriguez went 3-0 with three 1st period pins for the Rockets at the Kochakji Duals.


12/21: Sean Elliott (Howell)
Of the Shore Conference's nine medal winners at the Beast of the East, Elliott was the lone freshman, as he finished 7th at 126 pounds.


12/20: Greg Parani (Pt Boro)
106-pound Champion - TCNJ PRIDE 

12/19: Kevin Cifuentes (Asbury Park)
The freshmen had the first two pins of his career, one in 29 seconds and one in 25 seconds, for a grand total of 54 seconds on that mat to secure two wins in the Blue Bishops tri-sweep of CJ College Prep and Rutgers Prep.


12/18: Johan Figueroua (Southern) 
First varsity match. Huge stakes at hand. Not a problem for Figueroua. In a must-win match at 215, with the Rams trailing by five with two bouts to go, the junior not only won, but he pinned North Hunterdon's Dajinder Dhillon at 1:22 with a "Headlock Heard Round Annandale" to give Southern a one point lead and set up a walk-off pin at heavyweight from Levi Foote as the short-handed Rams toppled North Hunterdon in a dual between two of the top publics in New Jersey.


12/17: Brody Kaplan (Colts Neck)
With the Cougars trailing by one in the final bout of the night, Kaplan scored a 7-6 decision victory to secure the Cougars' victory over Lacey, 34-32.


12/16: Christian Reyes (Holmdel)
In a matchup between returning District runner-ups from a year ago, Reyes decisioned Manasquan's JP Sanders, 8-1, in a key result in the Hornets' 39-33 dual meet win over the Warriors.


12/13: Paul Kenny (CBA) & Bobby Duffy (CBA)
Kenny finished in 2nd place at 126, and Duffy placed 4th at 144 at the Ironman Tournament, the toughest high school tournament in the country.


12/12: Ricky DeLorenzo (TR East)
In the highlight bout of the evening, DeLorenzo, a 4th-place finisher in the state last season, decisioned 2-time State medal winner Matt Gould of St John Vianney in East's 40-33 win over the Lancers.


12/11: Owen Brackett (Raritan)
Brackett defeated Northern Burlington's 2-time District runner-up Rocco Giangeruso, 15-10, in a key win to help the Rockets top the Greyhounds on Thursday night.


12/10: Ryan McHugh (TR East)
McHugh was trailing 7-3 when he took his opponent down to his back and scored a huge pin that helped lead the Raiders to a 35-28 opening night win over RBC.
