2025 Keansburg Titans

2024 Record: 14-8


Middletown North alum Tom Anderson, who has spent the previous three seasons as an assistant at Holmdel, helping with the turn around of the Hornets' program, takes over a Keansburg team coming off back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since the 2012.

Jayden Johnson and Shawn Retta provide a nice 1-2 punch in the top part of the lineup. Retta was 2nd on the team in wins last season, putting up 29 W's, and advanced to the Region 5 Tournament following a 2nd-place finish at the Districts. The junior gotten his career off to a strong start for the Titans, compiling 49 wins through his first two seasons. Johnson also advanced to the Regions last year as part of a strong breakout year. The senior went from 5 wins as a sophomore, to 24 victories and a 3rd-place finish at the Districts. Also back up top for the Titans are juniors Ayden Graf and Abraham Cruz, who will be looking for turnarounds similar to Johnson's.

A trio of starters return in the middle of the lineup. Senior Daniel Slover is a 4-year starter and can provide veteran leadership in the heart of the lineup. Junior Michael Burke won 19 bouts and placed 4th at the Districts, while fellow junior Bruce Hunt will be looking to build off the experience gained from the 21 bouts of varsity action received through his first two years.

Three more starters return down low as well, led by 4th-year starter Gavin Blozen and 3rd-year starter Nick Pisano. The pair provides a senior presence in a group of that will feature several incoming freshman looking to break into the lineup. Junior Bryar Gilliland is also a 3-year starter looking for a breakout season.

With just a handful of seniors in the room, the Titans will be a bit on the younger side. They'll be looking for those seniors, as well as the experienced juniors, to really step up this year to lead the younger group cracking the lineup. Coach Anderson comes over from a Holmdel team that has really build itself up the last few years and will be looking to do the same with this Titans' team.
