With just a handful of seniors, the Indians will feature a pretty young lineup in 2024.

The strength of the lineup looks to be in the stretch from 120-157, where the bulk of the experience lies. Junior Caden Langan is South's big gun in the middle. The 3rd-year starter has put up 55 wins through his first two seasons, and is a 2-time District medal winner. He was a round away from advancing to Atlantic City last season after finishing 6th at the Regions. He looks to form a solid 1-2 punch along with fellow 3rd-year starter Phil Bentivegna, who has twice placed 4th at the Districts and could be primed for a big breakout year in 2024.

Three starters return from 120-132 in sophomore Owen Beneciuk, senior Carson Cheong, and junior Ian Torres. Cheong is entering his 4th year in the starting lineup, and has won 18 bouts in each of the last two seasons. He's the most varsity experienced wrestler on the roster, and will be looked upon to provide some leadership to the young group. Beneciuk is coming off a solid freshman campaign that saw him win 23 matches wrestling at 113.

The upperweights will be getting a makeover in 2024, with a couple starters lost to graduation, and talented heavyweight Donovan Wilkinson transferring to Cinnaminson. As a result, there will be a lot of young guys battling for the opportunity to crack the lineup. Among the newcomers looking to potentially make an impact are junior Mike Devivi, sophomore Brett Rankin, and freshman Finn Devrous, who placed 3rd in the Intermediate School State Tournament at 215 last year

South has a young, hard working group. The numbers are high with over 50 kids in the room. There will be some inexperience in the lineup, especially up top, but this group is putting in the work and will be looking to keep getting better with more and more mat time and the competition in the wrestling room.
