With half of last year's lineup gone to graduation, there is a bit of a turnover in this year's lineup for the Gulls. And with only a handful of seniors in the room, it looks like it will be a pretty young lineup, as well.

A regular in the lineup the previous two seasons, Mattix Sickel is the most seasoned wrestler in the middle of the lineup. He'll look to try and provide a little veteran leadership that will include a group of sophomores looking to step things up in the lineup after getting a little experience in the lineup last season.

Three starters return up top in sophomore Gage Boyle, and juniors Danny Neal and Allan Micheletti. All three were double digit winner in 2025, and if they can get to that 20-win mark, it will be a huge lift to a group that will be breaking in several newcomers to the lineup.

Down low, junior Brandon Stizza won 20 matches last season and advanced to the Regions after placing 3rd at Districts. Senior Max Esposito, who started for the Gulls at 106 last year also returns, and provides a rare bit of senior experience to the young Gulls' squad. Fellow seniors Alberto Lopez and Harry Ventresca will look to assume larger roles this season while some more youngsters look to make an impact in the lineup.

Despite being one of the smallest publics in the state, the Gulls have traditionally had strong numbers in the program and have found a way to plug in the gaps when they take the hits to graduation, and find ways to keep putting together winning season after winning season, while contending for division titles. Schedule-wise, they don't face a divisional opponent until January 7th, which will give them some time to get the new starters to the lineup acclimated before the stakes are raised.
